The first week started off with a bang! I had a dentist appt and Landon had a MRI on his brain. It was just precautionary but it was so relieving to hear that his brain is functioning perfectly normal. Landon had to be sedated for the MRI and God once again took away any anxiety and fears that we had. Side note: Landon has been put under general anesthesia twice and pediatric sedation once and we've had the best experiences all 3 times. Our little guy is a trooper! We ended the week with Lee's family and niece coming into town, Landon's soccer session, pumpkin patch with family, Balloon Fiesta, UNM football game, and brunch at Weck's before Lee's family left.
The second week of the month was filled with Landon's speech therapy session, botanic garden play date with friends, feeding therapy for Landon, follow up ENT appt for Landon's tubes, lunch with a law student that I mentor, Landon's soccer session, lunch with Lee before he left for Wyoming with the football team, and finally a Balloon Fiesta brunch on the last day for Balloon Fiesta.
The third week was pretty low key for us. We had Landon's first occupational therapy session with Sarah followed by Landon's speech therapy session, Landon's feeding nurse came to see us before Landon's soccer session, Lobo Champions Council dinner, Lobo basketball game, Abby's Pi Beta Phi initiation, "Mommy's Day of Fun", UNM football game, and finally Lee traveling to Maryland for a conference.
For the first part of the last week of the month, Lee was in Maryland, Landon had his weekly speech therapy session, feeding therapy for Landon, soccer session for the little guy, and my mom came into town and watched Landon while Lee and I flew to Colorado Springs, CO with a group of UNM donors to watch Notre Dame take on & win against Air Force. It was a much needed get-a-way for Lee and me. We came back and went to the Zoo and dinner at Trombinos to celebrate Lee's birthday with Landon and mom. On Lee's actual birthday, Landon and I treated him to lunch after Landon's speech therapy session and then Lee and I had a date night at Season's that night. Landon also had a follow up appt with his Audiologist (went great and we don't have to go back to see her again!). He also had another occupational therapy session with Sarah, soccer session, went to Popejoy Hall to see the Ugly Duckling play, and dinner and trick or treating at the Cito's house.
October was a very happy and fun filled month for us. Hope yours was great too!
