Here's how the month started off for us: 1st football games for Notre Dame and UNM (both with victories!), a Labor Day pool party with friends, our family's first trip to the Zoo together, celebrating Granny's 79th birthday from afar, Landon's GI appt and blood work, lunch with an ABQ friend, and lunch with Lee before he went out of town to Austin with the UNM football team.
The second week was Landon's birthday week! We had fun celebrating him all week and weekend. The first half of the week was spent doing last minute things to get ready for his party that weekend in Dallas. Finally, Thursday night came and we flew to Dallas. Landon did great on the flight but he definitely did not want to go to sleep either on the plane or that night until 3:30 a.m. while petting Oscar. What a good puppy my mom has! Landon turned ONE on Friday and we celebrated his big day getting hair cuts, going to Harley's soccer game, and dinner with Lee's family that came to Dallas. On Saturday morning we had his 1st birthday party at the Forney Community Park Pavilion and lots of family and friends came. It was pretty cold but we still had a blast. We all took big naps after his party and then Lee's family came over to Mom's house for dinner that evening. Sunday morning we spent time with Lee's family before they drove back to Houston. Then, Landon, Mom, and I went to my cousin, Laura's bridal shower and then Lee, Landon, and I left to go back to Albuquerque. Overall it was GREAT weekend but we were so exhausted by the time we got back home.
The third week was much more laid back and relaxing. Landon had his one year well check-up and weighed 17 lbs 8 oz (below 0%) and was 28.5" long (10%). He also had his 1st year shots and a flu shot. I got to go to dinner with the Lobo Club Auction ladies without Lee or Landon and it was a nice treat for me. On Friday, we celebrated my 28th birthday (a day early) with dinner at Vernon's Steakhouse in ABQ. It was delicious. Then on Saturday, we spent lunch and early afternoon in Santa Fe for my birthday. I had one of the best birthdays yet and am so blessed by my family and friends.
Finally, the last week in September was filled with dentist appts, friends birthdays, Landon getting the stomach bug, UNM vs. Boise State game, and the Ryan's kid's birthday party.
We had a spectacular September and hope you did as well. October is shaping up to be another great month for us!
