September 2013

I love fall season, and I'm so thankful it's here!!  September kicks off two months of birthdays for the De Leon household.  We're blessed to be celebrating another wonderful year in Landon's life.  Here's how our month went:

The first week started of with a bang!  We had Landon's speech therapy session and another feeding session with the feeding nurse.  We also had lunch with a sweet, new friend in town, celebrated my grandmother's 80th birthday from afar, had a play date at the aquarium and botanic garden with the Nunns and Pitliks, Landon's soccer game, and another play date at the Zoo with the Snows.

The following week was Landon's birthday week.  We had another speech therapy session, play date at the Pitlik's house, feeding therapy at the feeding clinic, the first ENT appointment for Landon, another soccer game, Lee's trip to Pittsburgh for work, Landon's 2nd birthday, family day at the Zoo, and Landon's birthday celebration!

The third week of the month was a busy one for us as we were doing lots of last minute prepping for Landon's 2nd birthday party.  We also babysat for a friend, had car problems on my two-year old Explorer (thank goodness for warranty!), "Aunt Debbie" took Landon for a day so I could clean the house, Mom came into town, Landon had his 2 year well check up, feeding nurse session, soccer for Landon, Zoo day with Landon and Lolli, Landon's birthday party, date night with Hubs, church and my birthday lunch at Rudy's, and finally going to the New Mexico State Fair.  Busy busy week!

The last week of the month was filled with Landon's speech therapy session, Landon's GI doc, feeding therapy session, Landon's soccer, Zoo play date with friends, Landon's ear tubes surgery, my birthday massage, and a Lobo football game.  Another busy week!

September was a great, fun, and busy month for us.  Hope you had a wonderful September too!

August 2013

August was a pretty great month for us!  I guess I should just get right into our monthly recap since I'm late again in posting, as usual.

The first week in the month started out with a pool day with friends, going to our neighborhood play group for the first time, soccer for Landon, lunch with friends after church, dinner with some UNM donors/friends, speech therapy for Landon, sensory evaluation for Landon, Bachelorette finale party, Lobo Club board meeting, family dinner in Corrales, feeding therapy for Landon, feeding nurse home visit for Landon, foundation board reception, date night, more soccer for Landon, going to the circus, and a pool day at Tanoan Country Club.  It was a busy start to the month!

The second week was filled with speech therapy for Landon, volunteer summit for Lee, family lunch at UNM Duck Pond, early intervention meeting, Lee going to Las Vegas for the 6th Man trip, neighborhood play group, soccer for Landon, Lobo football fan day, Lee's all-staff party, and a welcome back event for UNM student-athletes.

The following week was a little more low key for us.  We had Landon's feeding therapy session, Landon's formal developmental evaluation by UNM's Early Childhood Evaluation Program, play date with friends at Explora (scientific based children's museum), Lee's Big Brother Big Sister training, hosted neighborhood play group, attended the Lobo Club Auction, and soccer for Landon.

The last week of the month was fun.  It started off with me being sick and Landon having speech therapy but it ended with Landon and me in Texas while Lee had a busy week at work.  While in Texas, Landon and I got to have lunch with mom, visit Granny at her Memory Care facility, play with Harley, get my hair cut, pick up mom's new car, lunch again with mom, dinner with Dad and his family, attend Granny's 80th birthday, and have dinner at Mi Cocina before we flew back to ABQ.

Hope you had a great August too!

July 2013

Oh my, where does the time go?  Here it is half way through August and I'm just now blogging about July.  Hopefully one day I'll get better or at least faster with my blogging.

July was a great month for us!  We started off the month with returning from our "Freedom-Moon/Anniversary Trip" to St. Thomas.  That reminds me....I still need to blog about that trip.  Mom and her her friend, Jill, came into town and spent the 4th of July in Santa Fe while Lee, Landon, and I had fun celebrating July 4th at Balloon Fiesta Park and having dinner at Bravo.  Lee's parents and niece came into town the following day shortly after Mom and Jill left.  We had fun going to soccer for Landon, the pool at the local country club, watching movies, and playing games.  On Sunday afternoon, Lee, Landon, and I headed out to our first Isotopes (minor league baseball) game this season for Lee's company's family day.  Landon experienced his first carousel and loved it!!

The second week of the month was filled with lots of appointments for Landon (occupational therapy, pediatrician follow up, and the feeding nurse).  I did manage to squeeze in a pedicure for myself and we had the Bolls and Hutchins over for dinner before I left to go out of town on Friday.  Landon stayed all day on Friday with his "Aunt" Debbie while Daddy worked and I left to go to Campe Verde, AZ to meet my Tucson girlfriends for a girls trip.  I had so much fun talking and laughing with my girlfriends.  So much fun that I forgot to get any pictures....oops!  Landon had soccer on Saturday morning and then I spent all day on Sunday driving back to the Q.

The following week was a little more low key.  Landon saw an Audiologist and it was determined that he has tons of fluid build up in his ears so he's been referred to see an ENT.  I'm assuming he'll have to get tubes put in....just a guess though!  Lee flew to Ruston, Louisiana to see his best friend, Tommy, get announced as LA Tech's new Athletics Director.  He had a great time and really loved the town and campus.  While Lee was out of town, I watched a friend's daughter and Landon started speech therapy.  It was nice to have a relaxing weekend together with just soccer on Saturday morning for Landon.

The last week was a little busier for me.  Landon had occupational therapy for feeding and speech therapy, Lee's staff's bowling party, the Nunn's over for dinner, play date at the Aquarium with Devan and Micah, met with our financial advisor, soccer for Landon, chic-fil-a picnic and Isotopes baseball game, lunch at Rudy's after church with the Pitliks and Freemans, finance committee meeting, pediatrician appt for Landon, another speech therapy session, and finally seeing the feeding nurse again.

July was a fun, great month and August is looking like it will be the same!
