July 2013

Oh my, where does the time go?  Here it is half way through August and I'm just now blogging about July.  Hopefully one day I'll get better or at least faster with my blogging.

July was a great month for us!  We started off the month with returning from our "Freedom-Moon/Anniversary Trip" to St. Thomas.  That reminds me....I still need to blog about that trip.  Mom and her her friend, Jill, came into town and spent the 4th of July in Santa Fe while Lee, Landon, and I had fun celebrating July 4th at Balloon Fiesta Park and having dinner at Bravo.  Lee's parents and niece came into town the following day shortly after Mom and Jill left.  We had fun going to soccer for Landon, the pool at the local country club, watching movies, and playing games.  On Sunday afternoon, Lee, Landon, and I headed out to our first Isotopes (minor league baseball) game this season for Lee's company's family day.  Landon experienced his first carousel and loved it!!

The second week of the month was filled with lots of appointments for Landon (occupational therapy, pediatrician follow up, and the feeding nurse).  I did manage to squeeze in a pedicure for myself and we had the Bolls and Hutchins over for dinner before I left to go out of town on Friday.  Landon stayed all day on Friday with his "Aunt" Debbie while Daddy worked and I left to go to Campe Verde, AZ to meet my Tucson girlfriends for a girls trip.  I had so much fun talking and laughing with my girlfriends.  So much fun that I forgot to get any pictures....oops!  Landon had soccer on Saturday morning and then I spent all day on Sunday driving back to the Q.

The following week was a little more low key.  Landon saw an Audiologist and it was determined that he has tons of fluid build up in his ears so he's been referred to see an ENT.  I'm assuming he'll have to get tubes put in....just a guess though!  Lee flew to Ruston, Louisiana to see his best friend, Tommy, get announced as LA Tech's new Athletics Director.  He had a great time and really loved the town and campus.  While Lee was out of town, I watched a friend's daughter and Landon started speech therapy.  It was nice to have a relaxing weekend together with just soccer on Saturday morning for Landon.

The last week was a little busier for me.  Landon had occupational therapy for feeding and speech therapy, Lee's staff's bowling party, the Nunn's over for dinner, play date at the Aquarium with Devan and Micah, met with our financial advisor, soccer for Landon, chic-fil-a picnic and Isotopes baseball game, lunch at Rudy's after church with the Pitliks and Freemans, finance committee meeting, pediatrician appt for Landon, another speech therapy session, and finally seeing the feeding nurse again.

July was a fun, great month and August is looking like it will be the same!

June 2013

June was a super fun month for us.  Lots of traveling!

We started off the first week in of the month is Dallas for our summer trip to Texas.  While in Dallas, we had a cookout at Mom's house with Mom, Granny, Papa, Aunt Susan, Keri, Harley, and Jason, Mom and I shopped, we had family pool day, Lee and I had a date night, spent time with Dad at the park, visited with Uncle Raymond, haircut, lunch with Granddaddy and Shirley, and visited with my "2nd Mom" Donna.

When we came back from Texas, we finished out the week with Landon's Early Intervention evaluation and lunch with Aunt Becky, Uncle Lee, and Papa Joe.

The following week, Lee had a basketball scrimmage for his UNM donors, we hosted a NBA Final's party at our house, Lee had a few late night work meetings/report sessions, Landon got a hair cut, went to a pool party at the Harrington's house, Landon started the Lil' Kicker's "Bunnies Class" for soccer, and it was Father's Day.  Lee (and Q) woke up to breakfast burritos from Blake's Lotaburger on Father's Day morning.  Then it was off to church and Rudy's for lunch afterwards.  Lee and Landon took a nap and then we just enjoyed the rest of the day together as a family.  Great memories were made!

The third week of the month was a lighter week for us.  We had dinner with Reggie, April, and Mia before they moved back to Los Angeles, play date with Micah and Devan, dinner with the Nunn's, Lobo Club golf tournament, and soccer for Landon.  Yes, I am officially a soccer mom, and I love every minute of it!

The last week of the month was one of the best weeks we've had in a long time.  We started off the week with occupational therapy for Landon, supervising a professional house cleaning for a friend, Lee having lots of work meetings, Landon's GI appt, putting together our service family plan for Landon with early intervention, mom coming into town, spending a day with mom and Landon, Lee's Super Celebration Event for work, and then jetting off to St. Thomas for some much needed "Lacey and Lee" time sans Landon.  A separate post on that vacation to come.

June was truly a fun, great, and a much needed travel month for us!

May 2013

Oh my, Oh May! What a great month May was for us!  I guess I'll just get right into our monthly recap.

The first week of the month started off with my mom and Lee's parents coming into town for Landon's dedication at the church.  We had a great time having dinner out, cooking and more cooking, going to the UNM baseball game, Landon getting dedicated at church, and having a celebratory lunch.

The second week was very low key for us.  Landon and I went to the Zoo, lunch with a friend, Lee went to Toas, NM for work, Lee and I attended the Coaches vs. Cancer Gala, and then we celebrated Mother's Day by having breakfast in bed, going to church, BBQ lunch on the back patio, taking a nap, playing outside in the water in the backyard, and having a date night with Lee at Bravo.  It was such a great day and I'm so blessed by my husband and son.  I am one loved Momma!

The third week of May was a little busier than the previous week.  Landon had an occupational therapy appt, visited the aquarium and botanical garden with friends, dinner with Reggie & April, Lee played in two golf tournaments, and we attended Abby's high school graduation party.

The fourth week was filled with Harley's 4th birthday, lunch with a friend, Football Excellence Fund Dinner for Lee's work, UNM golf team send off, double date with Q & Kim, eye doc appt, going to Tingley Beach, playing in the water in the backyard.

The last week of the month started out with Memorial Day, attending the UNM baseball selection show, UNM baseball send off, going to the Zoo with the Clarks, another occupational therapy appt for Landon, and driving to Dallas!

May was great and June is already looking like another great month for us too!
