The first full week was filled with lunch with Lee, UNM basketball games, Dad's birthday, tip-off party for Lee's work, FCA breakfast, lunch with a friend, Lee's foundation board reception, Weems' Artfest, and a holiday party. We were so busy that week that I forgot to take any pics....oops!
The second week was pretty much that busy too. Lee had the Midnight UNM basketball game, Board Tour of Facilities, lunch with a college student that I'm mentoring, day all to myself with lots of shopping(!), dinner with friends, Hall of Honor event, another UNM basketball game, family pics, and the UNM soccer game.
The third week was Thanksgiving Week!! We mostly just cleaned and cooked the first half of the week to get ready for Lee's family to come into town. We did see the Feeding Team at Presbyterian Hospital this week for Landon's eating issues. An Occupational Therapist worked with Landon along with a Dietitian and a Behavioral Therapist. It was determined that he doesn't need the Behavioral Therapist but that he does have some sensory issues with his hands and mouth that prevent him from eating table food. So, he will go to Occupational Therapy every two weeks and hopefully he'll be able to cope and learn how to eat food. Lee's family arrived around Noon on Thursday and we had a big Thanksgiving lunch shortly after they arrived. The rest of that evening was filled with watching TV and football games. On Friday, we went to the Zoo and had a picnic and did things around the house. On Saturday, we went to the Duck Pond on campus and ate at Frontier Restaurant before settling into the house, getting Christmas dishes out, and watched the Notre Dame and A&M football games. On Sunday, we had the basketball game here.
The last week was a great one! Lee had a work event on Monday night, we just relaxed on Tuesday night, had the basketball game on Wednesday night, had a "date night" on Thursday night that included dinner at a local French place and a movie, then on Friday we went to Santa Fe and spent 4 hours at Ten Thousand Waves Spa. We had an hour soak in an outdoor wooden tub, an hour couple's massage, and then I had an hour facial while Lee had an hour head, neck, and foot rub. Yes, we are definitely spoiled after this week and it was much needed time together! We also decorated the house for Christmas!
November was great and now we're looking forward to a wonderful December!
