May 2012

I can't believe May has already come and gone!  This year is truly flying by especially with Landon.  Speaking of Landon, this has been a BIG month for him developmentally wise.  He's such a sweet, loving, smiley, happy boy, and we are enjoying him more than ever.

The first week in May was pretty low key.  We had a fundraising event for Lee's work, met with our CPA, and had a very relaxing weekend.  While we were getting ready for church on Sunday we put Landon in his crib, like we normally do, and he pulled himself right up and started standing.  Here's what we found when we went into his room....let's just say we lowered the crib that afternoon.

The second week was filled with Big Brother Big Sister's Gala meetings, Lee's sister's birthday, lunch with Lee and Landon, Lee had meetings in Santa Fe, early Mother's Day dinner at Vintage, Coaches vs. Cancer Gala, and Mother's Day (which included church, lunch, and a massage!).

The third week was filled with a Lobo baseball game, finding our new rental home in ABQ, Landon's 8th month "weight check", lunch with Emily, driving to Tucson, dinner with some Tucson friends, meeting Miss Gianna, Harley's 3rd birthday, church, and lunch at at Tohono Chul Tea Room before driving back to ABQ.  Oh, this week Landon also showed us that he can pull up and stand in his crib, even on the lowest setting.  He also had his first experience in his johnny jump up, grass and a public park.  He is definitely not a fan of grass....I guess that's how you know you've lived in the dessert too long!

The fourth and final week was a pretty busy one for us as well.  We had the Retirement Reception for the UNM president, flew to Houston to see Lee's family and friends.  While we were there we had Ana's pre-k graduation, spent time with the Dukes, had lunch with the Urregos, dinner with the McClellands, and spent quality time with Lee's family.  It was a great trip and we ate way too much good food!  When we came back, we discovered Landon's ticklish spot and had an Ambassador Event for Lee's work.

Like I said earlier, I can't believe May is already come and gone, and now it's June....Happy Summer!
